Saturday will mark four years since then 5-year-old Dulce Alavez went missing from a Bridgeton park. Dulce was playing with her 3-year-old brother on a playground when she vanished, leaving her family and community desperate for answers. Investigators believe someone took the little girl from the park.
In the hopes of continuing the search for Dulce, a forensic artist from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children recently created a photo of what she might look like now, at the age of nine.
There is a standing $75,000 reward to help find whoever is responsible. Investigators have also reshared an image of a man they believe is a person of interest.
A team from Florida- The Anti-Predator Project- also has joined the hunt and says it already has a few leads in the case that may help in the investigation. A vigil will be held Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Dulce’s tree, a spot dedicated to her near the playground where she was last seen.
