On Friday night, the Tigers took a 3-2 overtime win over the Dartmouth Big Green.
In the first period, Dartmouth struck first with a good pass by Izee Powell, a scuffle in front of the net, and an even better tip by Bridget Pringle.
Dartmouth started the second period on a power play but was unable to convert. An advantage chance for the Princeton Tigers was mostly kept at bay by Dartmouth, but the Tigers looked strong. Towards the tail end of the advantage, a good keep-in and a few chips in front once again led to a goal, with Katherine Khramtsov tying the game.
Another chip in goal for Dartmouth, provided by Shae Messner, gave the Big Green a 2-1 lead headed into the third.
Just after the halfway mark of the third period, Izzy Wunder tied the game at two following some chaos in the slot and a stunner of a bar-down shot.
With a tied game at the end of regulation, the Tigers would head to a crucial three-on-three overtime. A spinorama move from Sarah Paul created an opportunity for a clean pass up to Emerson O’Leary. A gorgeous snipe from the slot won the game for the Tigers. O’Leary now boasts the Tigers’ top spot for game-winning goals this season.

On Saturday afternoon, the Tigers faced a struggling Harvard Crimson team and defeated the visitors from Massachusetts, 2-0, for their second shutout of the season.
likely drawing off the energy from the previous night’s overtime win, an early power-play goal by Mackenzie Alexander gave Princeton a quick lead. The goal increased the Tigers’ power play effectiveness to 28.2 percent on the season.
The Tigers’ top line proved to be the highlight of the game when, three minutes later, Alexander assisted on Wunder’s goal. A rebound followed by a distracted goaltender allowed Wunder to net one relatively easily.
The Crimson could not get organized throughout the game, and the two early goals, paired with Jennifer Olnowich’s stellar performance in net, stopping all 21 shots, gave Princeton their second win of the weekend and a positive end to this homestand.
The Tigers seek to continue their win streak next weekend against Clarkson and St. Lawrence.
