Ivy Charmatz
Ivy Charmatz is a four-time New York Emmy® Award-winning storyteller who worked as a journalist for more than 20 years. She has created content for print, broadcast and digital media covering New Jersey and the entire New York City market. In addition to hosting Big Little Stories, Ivy is a Senior Vice President at Mercury Public Affairs where she specializes in storytelling, strategic communication, media relations and crisis management.
Her work has been recognized by organizations throughout the tri-state area, such as the Press Club of Long Island, Garden State Association of Black Journalists, the Salvation Army and Mothers Against Drunk Driving, among others. Ivy is also the proud recipient of two Gracie® Awards and a National Edward R. Murrow Award.
A graduate of Rutgers University, Ivy serves on the Advisory Board of Allaire Community Farm, a non-profit in Wall, New Jersey that helps special needs children, teens and adults battling mental health issues, as well as veterans struggling with PTSD. She is also on the Board of Trustees of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of New Jersey, and is the 2018 recipient of the organization’s Beacon of Hope award.
