Emmy Award winning television host, reporter & producer Laura Jones is one of the most respected names in political journalism. With more than two decades of experience she currently hosts “New Jersey Politics with Laura Jones”; a weekly public affairs show for MeTV-WJLP New Jersey/New York.
Prior to that Ms Jones was with News 12 New Jersey where she served as reporter, anchor and host. There she help build the state house bureau in Trenton and co-hosted/co-produced “New Jersey Power & Politics” as well as Cablevison’s public affairs program “We’ve Got Issues”.
Ms Jones also spent three years at cn8 in Philadelphia where she was a political reporter and host of two Emmy- nominated programs “Diner Politics” and “The Battling Bills”. In 2004 Ms Jones received the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement, Best Talk Show Host. While at cn8 Ms Jones also served as fill-in host for the network’s flagship program “It’s Your Call”.
She started her television career as a desk assistant at NJN in Trenton for PBS and rose up to cover numerous Presidential Campaigns & Gubernatorial Elections as well as congressional and local races. The only thing that rivals her passion for politics is her commitment to family and her fierce advocacy in the field of autism. This mother of three teenagers currently lives in Lambertville and is a proud graduate of Florida State University.
