The final month of 2023 has brought some strange and unexpected sightings to the Garden State.
Morris County residents have reported multiple drone sightings, usually spotted in the late hours of the night, in the month of December. Skeptical residents are concerned with the influx of reports, and they are questioning why the drones are flying around and or what is behind this phenomenon.
Twenty-one Morris County mayors have come together to question the state government, requesting answers about the drones. More than 500,000 Morris County residents have expressed worry and alarm about the drones.

Although Governor Murphy has not replied to the mayors’ requests, he did announce his partnership with security officials to uncover the facts about the drones’ appearance in the Garden State. He also shared that residents are safe from any perceived threats.
The mayors involved in this case are from: Pequannock, Washington Township, Hanover, Rockaway Borough and Township, Mendham Borough and Township, Long Hill, Montville, Mount Olive, Parsippany- Troy Hills, Wharton, Mount Arlington, Riverdale, Chester Borough and Township, Roxbury, Mine Hill, East Hanover, Florham Park and Jefferson.
