Maybe Mrs. Fields is a good luck charm.
For the first time since December, the New Jersey Devils (36-25-6) are riding a three-game win streak.
The Devils will head to Pittsburgh to face off against the Penguins (27-31-10) in a matinee matchup at PPG Paints Arena.
Jesper Bratt was outstanding in the Devils’ most recent win over the Edmonton Oilers, recording a goal and two assists on the night. Bratt is on pace to shatter Scott Stevens single season Devils assist record (60), as he needs just four more in the final fifteen games.
The addition of Cody Glass has been incredibly impactful on the team. Glass has a +4 in his first three games as a Devil and put three shots on goal in the process.
This will be Glass’ first game against his former team since the mid-season trade just about a week ago.
On the backend, goaltenders Jacob Markström and Jake Allen have been playing extremely well. Allen stopped 31 of 33 shots faced against the Oilers, holding a .939 save percentage on the night.
The Penguins are also coming off a three-game win streak, most recently defeating the Blues 5-3 at home on Thursday night.
Sidney Crosby continues to lead his team in points with 72 (23 G, 49 A) and has six points in his last three games played.
The Devils will look to carry their momentum into the final stretch of games as they push for a playoff spot in the tightly contested metropolitan division.
Puck drop between the Devils and Penguins is set for 3 p.m. on ABC.
