‘Squan’s moving on.
In a rematch of last year’s controversial Group 2 semifinal, the Manasquan boys’ basketball team topped Camden, 44-43, on a Griffin Linstra bucket with 2.7 seconds left in the game to win another thrilling group semifinal game and advance to the Group 2 state championship game.
Logan Cleveland and Rey Weinseimer helped lead the Big Blue Warriors with 14 points apiece, while Linstra led Manasquan on the glass with six rebounds.
David Munro, Sitafa Hall, and Emmanuel Joe-Samuel all finished the evening in double figures scoring for the Panthers. Munro finished with 18 points, Hall had 12, and Joe-Samuel recorded 10. Hall and Joe-Samuel also finished with six rebounds apiece.
Manasquan will take on Madison at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Jersey Mike’s Arena for the Group 2 state title.
