JERSEY CITY’S ‘MS. MARVEL’ GETS BIG SCREEN DEBUT

By On NJ

Jersey City’s Kamala Khan, better known as Ms. Marvel in the hit Disney+ series, will make her big screen debut this fall.

The teen superhero is teaming up with her idol Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau in “The Marvels.”  It will be the character’s official debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Kamala Khan is the first muslim character featured in a Marvel comic book. Much of the action in the hit TV series is set in a school inspired by Jersey City’s Dr. Ronald McNair Academic High School, which is called “Coles Academic High School” in the MCU.

Marvel released the first official trailer for the film featuring Iman Vellani starring once again as Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan alongside Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau from Wanda Vision.

It’s set for release in November 2023.
