Man Hit By Train in South Jersey

A man was hit by a train in Gloucester County on Thursday night.

The train, heading in the north direction in Franklin Township, struck the man at 7:10 PM, as reported by township police officials. Authorities reported that they discovered the man lying on the road near Porchtown Road and Royal Avenue.

The Franklin Township Police Department shared that the 39-year old victim of Franklinville sustained severe injuries and was transported by plane to the Cooper University Hospital.

The Conrail Police are currently investigating the incident. The man’s current state is unknown at this time.
