New Bookstore in Collingswood

By Maddy Grieco

Although paperback novels have been replaced with e-books and audiobooks, bookstores are making a comeback in the Garden State.

In Collingswood, a new bookstore centered around the romance genre opened just a few weeks ago. The new store is appropriately named Kiss & Tale, allowing readers to fully live through the romance genre.

The idea of opening a bookstore around one genre, specifically the romance genre, is quite new. Within the past two years, more than 20 bookstores focused on selling romance novels have opened up, according to The New York Times.

These bookstores are refreshing and fun, and most are owned and staffed by women. Kiss & Tale now joins this list, and the bookstore is even dedicated to buying and selling romance books from small businesses run by women, further spreading the efforts of female entrepreneurship.
