New Jersey Native Wins $500,000 in Lottery

By Maddy Grieco

A New Jersey retiree won $500,000 after purchasing a New Jersey Lottery scratch-off ticket in a Hudson County liquor store.

The man paid $10 for a Neon Cash Party Ticket at Ace Golden Liquors in North Bergen, where he learned that he won half a million dollars.

The game offers three prizes for $500,000, and one of the tickets was purchased at a gas station in the Middlesex County Borough of Carteret.

The lucky winner lives in Middlesex County, and he has said that he will “think about what [he’ll] do with it [because] it’s a little something extra and it gives [him] the opportunity to do something” that he may not have done otherwise.
