The Pascack Valley Panthers (10-1) rolled to a 38-0 win over the River Dell Golden Hawks (8-4) in the North Jersey Section 1, Group 3 Tournament Final at Pascack Valley High School in Hillsdale, New Jersey.

Pascack Valley scored the first points of the game late in the first quarter. The Panthers faced a fourth-down at the River Dell 36-yard line when quarterback Adam Shaw took the snap, ran to the right side of the line, and scampered down the right side of the field into the end zone.

Pascack Valley encountered another fourth down conversion in the second quarter at the Golden Hawks 32-yard line. It was successful again when Adam Shaw completed a 16-yard pass to wide receiver Michael Fronzaglia.
On the first down at the River Dell 16-yard line, Adam Shaw tossed a pass to wide receiver Marc Dellaquila in the right flat, and then Dellaquila accelerated into the end zone for the touchdown with eight minutes remaining.

The Panthers had the ball with less than a minute remaining in the first half when Adam Shaw unleashed a 44-yard pass to wide receiver Marley Smith, pushing the ball down to the Golden Hawks’ 15-yard line.
With three seconds left, Shaw took the snap in shotgun formation, then ran to his left cut, back towards the middle, and barreled straight ahead into the end zone for the four-yard score as Pascack Valley led 21-0 at halftime.

The Panthers received the second kickoff, and the offense proceeded to string together an impressive ten-play drive that took over five minutes of the clock. Kicker Evan Starr’s 34-yard field goal widened the advantage to 24-0.

Late in the fourth quarter, Pascack Valley methodically moved the ball down the field, culminating in running back Kevin Regula bulldozing his way across the goal line for an 11-yard touchdown.

The Panthers were not finished scoring, with defensive back Ashton Kazinci intercepting a pass and then galloping down the right side of the field and into the end zone for the 73-yard score that sealed the Pascack Valley victory and sectional title championship.
