A Philadelphia owned pizzeria is making its way to New Jersey in November.
Santucci’s Original Square Pizza, in collaboration with The Taproom & Grill, will make its mark in Haddon Township. The Taproom, a local restaurant, will add a larger name to its space, attracting more customers for a slice of the famous square pizza.
The Taproom plans to organize a “soft opening” to celebrate their partnership with Santucci’s Original Square Pizza.
This Philadelphia pizzeria opened in 1959, with married couple Joseph and Philomena Santucci launching their dreams into a reality. In Philadelphia’s Juniata Park neighborhood on “O” Street, the first storefront operated, bringing in customers who were drawn to Santucci’s eclectic style of making pizza, which includes using a square pan and layering the sauce above the cheese.
Santucci’s Original Square Pizza has branched out from its original location, and there are now around twelve locations, including one in Cherry Hill. The pizzeria will make its way to Deptford and Cherry Hill soon, too.
