Boston Fleet
First Matchup: Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024, at Tsongas Center
Last Season’s Record: 3-1-1
The Sirens played some of their best hockey of the season against the Fleet. New York scored a total of 12 goals and allowed less than ten goals to Boston. The Fleet are the only team that the Sirens managed to have above a .500 record against.
Minnesota Frost
First Matchup: Sunday, Dec. 1 2024, at Xcel Energy Center
Last Season’s Record: 2-2-1
New York had some great moments against Minnesota but also had their share of bad moments as well. The Sirens found early success against the Frost, but as the season went on, the script flipped with the dominance of Minnesota. In the season series New York played from behind in four out of the five matchups.
Montréal Victoire
First Matchup: Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, at Place Bell
Last Season’s Record: 1-4-0
The Victoire were a team that the Sirens greatly struggled against last season. In the series, New York allowed a season-high 19 goals. Even in the one game that the Sirens won last season, it was a game in which New York’s defense collapsed, almost blowing the game.
Ottawa Charge
First Matchup: Sunday, Dec. 29, at Prudential Center
Last Season’s record: 2-2-0
Against the Charge, the Sirens matched pretty evenly to them. While splitting the season series, goals against was almost even as well, with New York allowing 13 and Ottawa 10. Out of all the teams that the Sirens faced last season, the Charge was the one team that they were always competitive with.
Toronto Sceptres
First Matchup: Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Prudential Center
Last Season’s record: 1-3-1
Toronto was the team that New York struggled with the most last season. In their first matchup, New York came out blazing, but the fire simmered out right after that. In the other four games, the Sirens only scored five goals and earned one point.
In the 2024-25 season, New York looks to make tremendous improvements from last year’s performance. Finishing at the bottom of the league with a record of 9-12-3, the only direction is up for the Sirens. Tune in to MSG Networks to catch all the action this season.
