VIDEO: HACKETTSTOWN BURGLAR KICKS DOWN DOOR, STEALS MONEY AND JEWELRY

By On NJ

Hackettstown police are looking for a brazen burglar who robbed the residents of an apartment.

Police released door camera footage from a neighbor, showing one of the suspects involved kicking down the apartment door. On April 6, at around 11:30 a.m., two women, who were not known to the residents, came to the apartment asking to use the bathroom. One woman used the bathroom while the other woman stood in the kitchen nearby the doorway to a bedroom, police said.

After they left- nearly 15 minutes later, a male suspect kicked open the door to the apartment,  stole an undisclosed amount of money and jewelry, and then ran out of the apartment.

One of the residents was locked in a bedroom at the time of the burglary and was not injured.

Anyone with information regarding the two women or the suspect, is encouraged to contact the Hackettstown Police Department at 908-852-3300 or TEXT-A-TIP: Text ‘TIP HACKPD’ followed by your message, to 888-777.
