It’s been over three years since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began, and for more than 200 American families, the war has frozen their dreams of adopting Ukrainian orphans. A moratorium on adoptions imposed by Ukraine has left these children in limbo, many now displaced to Poland. We’re joined by advocates fighting to change that. Former New Jersey Senator Raymond Lesniak has been pushing to lift the moratorium. Alongside him is Artur Gorniewski, president and founder of the H.E.L.P. Foundation, who’s been on the ground supporting these orphans for the past two and a half years.
