News Update: 911 System Upgrade

The Gloucester Township Planning Board approved a proposal for a new Shop Rite to take over the abandoned K-Mart building in Cherrywood Plaza. Shop Rite of Laurel Hill, which is less than a mile away, would close once the new one opens.

Monmouth University released plans for its Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music. A campaign to raise $45 million for construction is underway. The building is expected to open in the spring of 2026.

The Warren County Board of County Commissioners approved a $108.5 million budget that will fund upgrades to the 911 communications system, as well as road and drainage improvements. The board has also reduced equalized tax rates for residents, for the third straight year.

A Secaucus couple has been charged in a Publishers Clearing House scam. The couple scammed people from all across the country, for as much as 2.2 million dollars. Each faces multiple charges, including money laundering.
