News Update: ARRIVE Pilot Program

By Kaitlyn Giordano

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office says a man who was the victim of a 2023 assault and robbery has died from his injuries. Police found the 48-year-old victim in Camden. He was then taken to the hospital and died 14-months later. An investigation into the attack is ongoing.

Morris County officials say the ARRIVE pilot program has launched at police departments across the county. It seeks to help police de-escalate situations, provide immediate support to individuals, and ensure the safety of the community and the responding officers.

Voters will decide next month whether the Seaside Heights school district will join the Toms River Regional district. In a letter, Central Regional school district officials voiced opposition.

Officials say a shuttered affordable housing complex in Newark’s East Ward will be the site of 69 apartments for seniors. The project is under the first phase of a redevelopment plan and will be restricted to people 55 and older.
