News Update: Beaches Banning Tents

Nadine Menendez, the wife of Senator Bob Menendez, is looking to delay her husband’s trial because she says she was recently diagnosed with a serious medical condition. Menendez’s trial had been scheduled to start on May 6th.

An Atlantic City man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, after taking a plea deal for a shooting back in 2019. 38-year-old Kevin Davis pleaded guilty to attempted murder and possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose.

North Wildwood is looking to ban tents and cabanas on their beaches, simply because there’s not enough room. Much of the beach disappears at high tide, and erosion has become a problem. An ordinance is set for a second reading on May 7th.

A dinosaur fossil park and museum is scheduled open in New Jersey this summer. The $73 million attraction will be located above a former quarry in Mantua, where several fossils have been discovered.
