News Update: Fire Injures Man in Bayville

AUTHORITIES SAY A 70-YEAR-OLD BERGEN COUNTY MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED AFTER INVESTIGATORS SEARCHED HIS HOME AS PART OF A MONTHS-LONG INTERNET CHILD PORNOGRAPHY INVESTIGATION. THE RIDGEWOOD RESIDENT HAS BEEN CHARGED AND REMAINS IN CUSTODY AWAITING A COURT APPEARANCE.

AUTHORITIES SAY A HOUSE FIRE IN BAYVILLE THAT CRITICALLY BURNED A MAN AND INJURED TWO OTHERS HAS BEEN RULED ACCIDENTAL. THE OCEAN COUNTY PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE SAYS IT IGNITED FROM IMPROPERLY DISCARDED SMOKING MATERIAL.
