News Update: Jack Ciattarelli Running for Governor

An Edison man accidentally shot and killed his wife while clearing out his gun. The 82-year-old was on the first floor when the gun discharged into the basement, striking 76-year-old Patricia Novak. She died at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

Republican Jack Ciattarelli {chet-uh-RELL-ee} announced that he’ll be making his third run for New Jersey governor. The 62-year-old lost the republican nomination in 2017 and lost to current governor Phil Murphy in 2021. He was a state representative from 2012 to 2018.

Spirit Airlines announced they will be closing their hub at Atlantic City International Airport on September 1st, because of a drop in flights from that location. The move will affect nearly 160 pilots and flight attendants.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for Heisman Trophy winner and Camden native Mike Rozier {roh-ZHAIR} in his hometown. Officials renamed 27th Street after the star football player, as part of a $10 million repaving project.
