Three people in a transport van were killed, after a fiery crash on Route 1 in South Brunswick. The van was hit by a tractor trailer with an Oversize Load sign, which was carrying pre-fabricated walls.
A Union County man was sentenced to 25 years in prison for a road rage attack in 2022. 57-year-old Vincent Jean of Elizabeth repeatedly hit a woman with his car after the two got into a minor accident.
And two local K-9s have officially retired. The Red Bank Police Department gave Hunter and Eko a proper sendoff with a ceremony that included officers from all over the county and several other K-9s. Hunter had been with the department for nine years, and Eko was with them for seven.
Brick Little League had its Opening Day Ceremony for the 2024 season. Hundreds of people came out to the ballfield, to see kids from t-ball all the way up to the senior league represent their teams. Even Buster, the Jersey Shore BlueClaws mascot, was in attendance.
