News Update: Man Identified

A former Catholic school teacher from Hopatcong has admitted to taking inappropriate pictures of female students. 41-year-old Michael Wagner pleaded guilty to first-degree child endangerment and second-degree manufacturing of child sexual abuse material.

The man who drowned in Spring Lake earlier this month has been identified by family. 23-year-old Wilmer Lalvay of Belleville died at the beach off St. Clair Avenue. A GoFundMe is looking to raise money to send his body to his native Ecuador.

Stew Leonard’s in Clifton is officially open! The grocery store, located on Allwood Road, had its ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday. A statue of founder Stew Leonard Sr. was unveiled at the event. Leonard passed away last year.

A big congratulations to two police chiefs from Monmouth County. Chief Scott Robinson and Chief Shannon Torres just got their bachelor’s degrees from Fairleigh Dickinson University’s School of Global and Public Administration.
