The Alzheimer’s New Jersey “Walk to Fight” event took place this weekend.
Participants honored family and friends affected by Alzheimer’s disease and reminded families across New Jersey that they do not have to face Alzheimer’s alone, as efforts in science continue to work towards a cure.
Highlights included a dance performance by Nimbus Dance, an energizing warm-up led by fitness specialist Melissa Sullivan, and a stirring rendition of the national anthem by Jersey City singer-songwriter Giselle Bellas.
Hudson County Commissioner Chairperson Anthony Romano and Commissioner William O’Dea addressed the crowd, presenting a proclamation that recognized the vital work of Alzheimer’s New Jersey®.
The event was a testament to the power of community and the ongoing fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
