A Maywood man was arrested, after allegedly pointing a gun and yelling an antisemitic slur at someone outside of the ShopRite in Paramus. 35-year-old Joseph Koppinger faces several charges.

Two teenage boys have been charged with acts of juvenile delinquency and weapons offenses, in the fatal shooting of another teenager. It happened back on March 31st in New Brunswick, near Lee Avenue and Rutgers Street, about a mile from the campus.

Interns working with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office got a behind-the-scenes look at the Ballistics Laboratory. They learned how the lab conducts tests to identify weapons used in a specific crime.

The Union water tower, the tallest of its kind in the world, is set for demolition, to make way for a new cell tower. The 212-foot landmark has been overlooking Route 22 and the Garden State Parkway since 1964. It’s been out of commission since the 1980s.
