Hackensack firefighters were called to Bergen County Academies, after the auditorium roof got damaged in a storm. The collapse happened as the roof was getting replaced. No injuries were reported.

Four more people have been sentenced for the 2020 shooting of a state detective at a mobile home park in Pittsgrove. Another suspect is scheduled to be sentenced on Friday.

A Philadelphia man was arrested after stealing a golf cart from an apartment complex in Secaucus. 22-year-old Alaji Ahmad-Alwan was already wanted for a home invasion in Robbinsville and had an arrest warrant for stealing a car in Point Pleasant.

Clem Burke has died following a private battle with cancer. Burke was best known as the drummer for Blondie, but had worked with several big-name artists. The Bayonne native was 70 years old.
