A West Virginia service animal trainer was arrested, after a New Jersey woman paid $20,000 for a dog she never received. 52-year-old Catherine Causey faces charges of theft by deception and money laundering. She was taken to the Atlantic County Jail.

An Essex County man is facing charges after barricading himself inside his girlfriend’s home in Paramus. The woman and her four kids managed to escape and call 911. Officers tried to negotiate with the man for two hours before entering the house and arresting him.

22nd Avenue in South Seaside Park was renamed in honor of Keith Pinto. The Toms River native was 19 years old when he was struck and killed by lightning, while working as a lifeguard in 2021.

The Wildwoods Tourism Authority, along with the Greater Wildwood Chamber, welcomed a new Starbucks to the area with a grand opening ceremony. The store is located on the Boardwalk at Glenwood Avenue.
