Officials are investigating after a passenger jumped out of a moving vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike. It happened about a half-mile north of Exit 16W, on the northbound side. The woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Five people were charged after a failed robbery attempt at a home in Franklin Lakes. Two of the suspects were caught in Wyckoff, after their getaway car flipped over on Russell Avenue. All five were taken to the Bergen County Jail.

Teen speed skaters from Monmouth and Middlesex Counties started the Skate For Hearts fundraiser. The goal is to raise $12,000 for the American Heart Association by skating 1,200 miles at Dorbrook Park in Colts Neck.

A yacht caught fire at the Schooner Island Marina in Wildwood. The 40-foot boat was refueling when the blaze broke out. U.S. Coast Guard Station Cape May was at the scene to secure the area and assist firefighters.
