A real estate developer has pleaded guilty to bribing Newark’s former deputy mayor with cash and jewelry, in exchange for acquiring property. The payoffs took place between 2017 and 2019. 57-year-old Frank Valvano, of Florham Park, is scheduled to be sentenced in April.

A Commercial Township man has been arrested, after allegedly convincing underage girls to send him explicit pictures through SnapChat. 29-year-old Michael Romig faces multiple charges, including possession of child sexual abuse material.

A Manhattan federal court judge has denied former Senator Bob Menendez a retrial for his corruption and bribery case. Menendez is scheduled to be sentenced on January 29th.
