Police are investigating, after a man robbed a Dunkin’ Donuts in Bloomfield and got away on a bicycle. The suspect, who was armed with a gun, entered the store on Franklin Street and ordered the employee to hand over money.

The search has ended for a Bridgeton man who’s been charged with murder. 19-year-old James Snead allegedly killed a 24-year-old man back on November 24th. Snead turned himself in after nearly a week-long search.

Congratulations to Lieutenant Geoffrey Memmelaar on his retirement from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office. He began his law enforcement career with the Seaside Heights Police Department in 1999 and joined Ocean County in 2000.

Mount Laurel police officers were called to the area of Knox Way to help rescue an injured loon, that was bleeding and could not move. They coordinated with Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge and transported the bird to the facility for treatment.
