A former real estate attorney has been sentenced to ten years in prison. 49-year-old Steven Salami, from Hazlet, stole nearly $1.2 million from his clients. Salami was also ordered to pay the full amount of the stolen funds.

An Asbury Park man was found guilty of kidnapping an 11-year-old girl. 30-year-old Raquan Folk lured the child into a car on Ridge Avenue back in 2023. He faces up to 30 years in prison; his sentencing is scheduled for March.

Atlantic City mayor Marty Small Jr. has launched his bid for re-election. This comes just days after pleading not guilty to witness tampering, in connection to charges that he and his wife abused their daughter.

Kean University’s athletics department announced a new wrestling program that will kick off next season. The program will include a men’s team and a women’s team. The school hired Christopher DiSanto to serve as head coach for both.
