Police are investigating after a motorcyclist was killed on the Garden State Parkway. 46-year-old Jason Ball was trying to leave the parkway at Exit 102 in Tinton Falls. He was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.

A Demarest man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a child under the age of 13. The 44-year-old is charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He’s currently being held at the Bergen County Jail.

The tennis and pickleball courts at Tindall Park in Middletown will be temporarily closed for renovations. Work includes tree removal and evening the surface of the courts. The renovations are scheduled to be completed this fall.

Shedrick Elliott III has been named the head women’s cross country and track & field coach at Rowan University. He spent the past 10 seasons as the assistant track and cross country coach at Johns Hopkins University.
