A Penns Grove man has been found not guilty, in connection to a fatal shooting in Salem City. Vincent Patrick was indicted on first-degree murder charges in the death of a 22-year-old, back in 2018.

A doctor was sentenced to more than a year in prison for writing $5 million in phony prescriptions. 46-year-old Brian Sokalsky, of Margate, pleaded guilty to health care fraud, by signing orders for compound medications.

The Star-Ledger will stop publishing printed newspapers after February and will close its production facility in Montville. The owner says the decision comes as a result of rising costs, decreased circulation and a reduced demand for print.

Detective Ian Boltz of the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office graduated from the New Jersey State Police Crime Scene Investigation Course. Over the seven-week course, Boltz became certified in several areas, including fingerprint identification and bloodstain pattern analysis.
