A Winslow Township man is dead after crashing his car on Williamstown Road. 53-year-old Preston Newbey veered into a utility pole while trying to pass another vehicle. He was thrown from his car and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Manasquan Reservoir in Howell has reached historically low levels during the state’s current drought. Earlier this week, the reservoir was just over 49 percent full – the lowest it’s been since the early 1990s.
Cherry Hill Fire Department recently took part in a research study with Dr. Andy Morgan, a Yale University professor. The study focused on the effects that personal protective equipment can have on a firefighter’s performance.
