Authorities seized nearly a dozen animals from a home on Clendenny Avenue in Jersey City. The home was allegedly being used as an illegal breeding facility. About seven dogs and five reptiles – including a boa constrictor – were recovered.

A Saddle Brook man has filed a lawsuit against the Paterson Police Department, claiming he was involved in a traffic stop without probable cause, back in 2022. 53-year-old Benjamin Jackson says he was beaten and falsely accused of suspicious behavior.

A crane caused severe damage to a house in Montville. It happened as workers were performing a routine tree-trimming job around the property. A housekeeper and four dogs were home at the time, but no one was hurt.

Eleven participants of the Union Vicinage’s recovery court program celebrated their graduation recently. Recovery Court Judge Paul Nieves presided over the ceremony, as the graduates were recognized for their accomplishments.
