An 18-year-old from Old Bridge was sentenced to ten years in prison for hit-and-run that left a gas station attendant dead. It happened at the Wawa on Route 34 in December of last year. The victim was in the hospital for 50 days before dying from his injuries.

A drunk driver was arrested after crashing into a Light Rail train in Hoboken. The operator of the train was taken to the hospital for back pain. None of the eight passengers on board were injured.

Several local officials were on hand, as Burlington County celebrated the opening of The Place at Burlington. The new 84-unit affordable housing complex is located off John F. Kennedy Way. The County’s HOME Investment Partnership Program put $550,000 towards the project.
