A former teacher in the Kearny school district was sentenced to seven years in prison for possession and distribution of child pornography, from 2021 to 2022. The 53-year-old had videos of kids getting sexually abused and over 100 illicit photos.

Camden school board president Wasim {wah-SEEM} Muhammad has chosen to step down. The decision comes after the 56-year-old was accused of sexually assaulting a middle school student back in the 1990s.

Rutgers president Jonathan Holloway has announced he’ll be stepping down in 2025, to take a year-long sabbatical and become a Rutgers professor. Holloway made history as the university’s first African-American president.

The Brick Township Police Department recently welcomed Officer Jessica Campana to the force. Campana holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Gettysburg College and has prior experience as an officer with the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.

The Huntington Learning Center celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The center provides tutoring and test prep programs for kids from kindergarten to 12th grade.
